CPRS Calgary presents Flames CEO Ken King

CALGARY, March 14 /CNW/ - CPRS Calgary proudly presents Calgary Flames
President and CEO Ken King on March 21, 2007 at the Fairmont Palliser for a
special luncheon presentation.
In Today's Challenges - Disarm them with the Truth, King will discuss
managing the message in an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
Registration for the workshop and luncheon is available online at
www.cprscalgary.com. The event is $35 for CPRS Calgary members and $40 for
non-members.
Since the team's playoff run during the 2003-04 season, Flames fever has
been alive and well in Calgary. A Calgarian at heart and in spirit, King
understands the Calgary community and its love of hockey. He's been passionate
about ensuring that the voice of the fan is clearly heard and understood.
King will draw upon his experience with the Flames, and more than 30
years in the newspaper industry, to illustrate how changes in the media have
made the job of the public relations professional ever-more challenging,
particularly in high-profile industries.
King's presentation adds to a season of stellar professional development
for the Canadian Public Relations Society. The CPRS strives to give its
members access to the best in the industry by bringing high caliber speakers
who have tackled some of North America's most challenging public relations
problems.
