    LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - 13 year old, Canadian Singer/Songwriter,
Jackson Cook has been named as a finalist in the International Songwriter's
Competition for his song "First Kiss"! With over 15,000 submissions worldwide,
it is an extraordinary achievement of someone so young.
    Jackson has also been chosen to write the anthem for the 2008 BC Summer
Games.
    His talent was recognized in 2007 for his nomination for "Best Young
Songwriter" from the Toronto Independent Music Awards.
    Jackson is currently in Los Angeles recording new songs for his second
CD. He is looking forward to his return in April to perform at the opening
ceremonies for the BC Summer Games in Kelowna, B.C.
