CN Tower Selected 'Business of the Year'

TORONTO, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - On November 5, 2007, the CN Tower received the
Air Canada 'Business of the Year' Award recognizing excellence, outstanding
contribution and accomplishments in the Canadian tourism industry, at the 2007
TIAC National Awards for Tourism Excellence by Canada's tourism industry
leaders.
The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) National Awards for
Tourism Excellence presented by the Globe and Mail are a celebration of
Canada's best in tourism products, services and people. The awards are
presented annually at a gala evening during Canada's Tourism Leadership Summit
which took place November 4-6, 2007 at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria,
British Columbia.
"We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award," said Jack Robinson,
CN Tower Chief Operating Officer. "This has been an incredible year for the CN
Tower. We concluded the CN Tower's 30th anniversary year and continue to
celebrate its legacy as an iconic landmark and one of Canada's - and the
world's - most celebrated and visited attractions. Among our achievements this
year, we introduced an exterior lighting upgrade that transformed the Toronto
night skyline. This award is also a tribute to the commitment of the CN Tower
team who through excellent customer service and high operating standards
ensure the Tower continues to flourish as a symbol of the awe-inspiring
experiences that can be found throughout Canada."
The TIAC National Awards for Tourism Excellence presented by the Globe
and Mail were developed in 2003 by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada,
the national private-sector advocate for Canada's $66.9 billion tourism
sector, to recognize and foster Canadian tourism excellence.

Defining the Toronto skyline, at a height of 553.33 m (1,815 ft., 5
inches), the CN Tower has been the world's tallest for an incredible 32+
years, is an engineering Wonder of the Modern World, an important
telecommunications hub, an internationally acclaimed entertainment and dining
destination and Toronto's "must see" attraction. Visited by approximately 2
million people each year who enjoy breathtaking views and all the CN Tower has
to offer: three observation levels including the world famous Glass Floor and
the Sky Pod, attractions, shopping and three restaurants including the
award-winning 360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower. One of Toronto's most unique
event venues, the CN Tower hosts over 300 events each year from 2 to 2000. The
CN Tower is owned and managed by Canada Lands Company, a crown corporation.
