OTTAWA, July 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) will
hold its 141st annual meeting (General Council) in Montreal at the Centre
Sheraton, from August 17-20, 2008.
This year's General Council theme, Canada's Doctors - Patient focused.
Patient centred, provides a forum for CMA delegates to discuss issues of
concern to the profession, the public and the health care system in Canada.
Key features of the meeting will be:
- a strategic session on mental health;
- a strategic session on health transformation and patient-focused care;
- sessions on emerging issues, delegates' motions; and
- address by Federal Minister of Health Tony Clement.
