Close to 300 riders turned out to support the Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's Wheels for Wellness cycling event

TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - The Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's
annual Wheels for Wellness cycling event, held Sunday September 23rd at
Downsview Park, exceeded the Foundation's expectations, with close to 300
cyclists riding in support of the purchase of an Image Management System for
Humber River Regional Hospital.
"We are thrilled with the record turnout," said Foundation President
Debra Bond-Gorr. "Once again this year we received outstanding support from
the entire Humber River community, including Canadian Olympic cyclist Sue
Palmer-Komar who really helped make this event a tremendous success."
"It was another successful day for our Foundation and I am grateful to
Debra and her team for their hard work in organizing this wonderful event - an
event that reinforces Humber River Regional Hospital's positive role in the
community as providers of care and promoters of good health," said hospital
President & CEO Rueben Devlin.
"This is always a great event for the whole family," said Bond-Gorr. "We
are looking forward to making it even bigger; on the same weekend, in the same
location, next year!"
