TORONTO, Oct. 6 /CNW/ - Clayton Ruby and George Lochner will hold a press
conference on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the offices of Ruby &
On August 11, 2006, four Emergency Task Force officers with the Toronto
Police stormed George Lochner's room and tasered him no less than seven times.
George, who is developmentally disabled, was lying harmlessly on his bed
when confronted by the ETF officers.
George is 42 years old and lives with his 77 year old mother who cares
for him. George was not the target of a police investigation.
The ETF officers had an unsigned and therefore invalid warrant to enter
George's home and bedroom.
George, through his litigation guardian, has launched a lawsuit in the
Ontario Superiour Court of Justice against the Toronto Police Services Board
and the officers involved in the unwarranted tasering.
Mr. Ruby will discuss the outstanding lawsuit and George will provide his
side of the story.
