Claymore Investments, Inc. Announces Final Annual Capital Gains Distributions for the Claymore Exchange Traded Funds

TORONTO, Dec. 21 /CNW/ - Claymore Investments, Inc. announces today the
2007 final annual capital gains distributions for the Claymore Exchange Traded
Funds.
"We are very pleased with the final capital gains amounts across our
ETFs. Only three ETFs will have capital gains distributions this year. In
addition, the capital gains on the Claymore Oil Sands Sector ETF (CLO) and the
Claymore BRIC ETF (CBQ) are below what we estimated in November. We believe it
is important to focus on the tax efficiency of our products which complements
our overall strategy of bringing low cost and value add investment strategies
to the Canadian market," said Som Seif, President and CEO of Claymore
Investments Inc.
The final annual capital gains distributions will not be paid in cash but
will be reinvested and will be reported as taxable distributions and can be
used to increase the investor's adjusted cost base of the fund. The record
date for the distributions will be December 31, 2007 and the ex-dividend date
will be December 27, 2007. The distributions will be payable on December 31,
2007.

Commentary on the estimated capital gains:

    Claymore Oil Sands Sector ETF

The oil sands portfolio experienced gains as a result of mergers and
acquisitions activity in the oil sands sector during the year and through
changes to the fund's portfolio based on rebalances in the index it tracks.

Claymore BRIC ETF and Claymore Japan Fundamental Index ETF C$ Hedged

The estimated gains in these two funds are entirely as a result of the
currency hedging strategy employed. The Canadian dollar appreciated
significantly against many of the world's major currencies and especially
against the US dollar and the Japanese yen.
