City of Vancouver and Canadian Olympic Committee sign agreement



    TORONTO, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan, Korina Houghton,
Commissioner - Vice Chair, Vancouver Park Board, City Manager Judy Rogers, and
Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) President Michael Chambers will sign a
Memorandum of Understanding that outlines opportunities for cooperation
between the City of Vancouver and the Canadian Olympic Committee:

    
            September 21, 11:30 a.m.
            Sculpture Gallery Room, Lobby Level, Listel Hotel
            1300 Robson Street
            Vancouver
    

    Olympians Mira Leung and Tricia Smith will also be in attendance.
    The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for the COC and
the City of Vancouver to work together to identify and realize opportunities
for mutual benefit through hosting the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.
    The Mayor and Michael Chambers will be available for event-related
interviews and photos after the signing.
