MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 26 /CNW/ - The Canadian Investor Relations
Institute (CIRI) announced the election of David Carey as the 2009 - 2011
Chairman of the CIRI Board of Directors. David is Senior Vice President,
Capital Markets at ARC Energy Trust. He succeeds Sharon Mathers, past Chair,
CIRI Board of Directors.
In his current role at ARC, David is responsible for government and
investor relations as well as corporate governance activities. He has over 25
years of diverse experience in the Canadian and international energy
industries covering exploration, project evaluations, production, finance and
investor relations. Prior to joining ARC in 2001, David held the dual roles of
Director, Investor Relations at Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. and Vice President
& Chief Financial Officer at Athabasca Oil Sands Trust. He holds both an
Honours Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and an MBA from Queen's

Toronto Stock Exchange; George Kesteven, Manager, Corporate & Investor
Relations at Sterling Resources Ltd.; and Greg Waller, Vice President,
Investor Relations & Strategic Analysis at Teck Resources Limited.

Eleanor Fritz is Director, Compliance & Disclosure at Toronto Stock
Exchange. Eleanor has been with the TSX for 20 years, during which she has
held various positions involving listed companies from both a regulatory and
marketing perspective. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the
University of Guelph and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
George Kesteven is Manager, Corporate & Investor Relations at Sterling
Resources Ltd. Prior to joining Sterling in mid-2008 he was Manager, Investor
Relations at PrimeWest Energy Trust, a position he held since 2001. Concurrent
to much of his tenure with PrimeWest, George served as President of the
Canadian Association of Income Funds (CAIF) from 2004 to 2006 and assumed the
role of Chair from 2007 until 2008. Prior to his involvement with the income
trust world George held senior roles in corporate finance and investor
relations with TransCanada Pipelines and Petro-Canada respectively. George is
a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce
from the University of Calgary.
Greg Waller is the Vice President, Investor Relations & Strategic
Analysis at Teck Resources Limited. He has been responsible for investor
relations since 2004. Effective January 2008, Greg also took on
responsibilities within the corporate development department and leads a team
in the development and management of the corporate strategic plan, preparation
of annual and long-term financial plans, and financial analysis of all
strategic growth opportunities. Greg earned his Bachelor of Commerce at UBC
and MBA at the University of Calgary.
