TORONTO, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX; NYSE) is pleased to announce that
proceeds from its pink products have reached $1 million, just two weeks after
reaching the $500,000 mark. Thanks to the generosity of CIBC clients and
employees across Canada, pink necklaces, bank card protectors, dog leashes,
car magnets, socks, playing cards and pink M&M's chocolate candies have been
chalking up more than $30,000 a day to help create a future without breast
cancer.
One hundred per cent of net proceeds will go to the Canadian Breast
Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer research, education and awareness
programs.
"Our clients and employees continue to demonstrate their commitment to
creating a future without breast cancer and the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure," said Sonia Baxendale, Senior Executive
Vice-President, CIBC Retail Markets. "We are thrilled with the results of our
pink products this year, and we encourage everyone to continue to fundraise
and get involved in this year's Run. With less than a week to go, there's
still time to make a difference."
