CIBC and its employees celebrate "Think Pink" week

    TORONTO, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - CIBC employees across Canada proudly wore pink
today to show their passion for creating a future without breast cancer. A
kick-off celebration was held in downtown Toronto as part of nation-wide
"Think Pink" week held September 15th to 19th to raise awareness of breast
cancer and encourage people to register for the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 5th.
    On hand today were Erin Davis and Mike Cooper of 98.1 CHFI as the event's
emcees in addition to John Stanton, founder of the Running Room, and Rose
Reisman, one of Canada's leading authorities on the art of eating and living
well, who provided tips on healthy living.
    Remarks were delivered by Lynn Tymczyszyn, a CIBC employee in Toronto and
Jalynn Bennett, a CIBC board member, both of whom are breast cancer survivors;
in addition to Sonia Baxendale, who spoke about CIBC's commitment to creating
a future without breast cancer. Attendees, including the volunteer CIBC Run
Champions, also enjoyed healthy gourmet lunches, prizes for wearing pink,
giveaways from sponsors and a silent auction. Guests were encouraged to sign
up for the Run, Canada's largest single-day fundraiser for breast cancer.
