    - Shoppers keep showrooms busy as broad product mix fits consumer needs
    - For 19 months straight, strong retail performance fuels
       year-over-year growth
    - 5.7 per cent increase reflects in both cars and trucks
    - Jeep(R), mid-sized Chrysler and Dodge sedans among a broad list of
       performers
    - March: 11 vehicles under $300 per month

WINDSOR, ON, March 3 /CNW/ - Chrysler Canada announced today that
continued increases in retail sales helped contribute to its 19th straight
month of year-over-year sales growth with a broad range of products seeing
increases, including both cars and trucks and a number of small and compact,
highly fuel-efficient vehicles.
Sales of 16,451 units were up 5.7 per cent from the same month last year.
Car sales were up 7.6 per cent to 4,155 units; trucks were up 5.1 per cent to
12,296 units.
"The sales performance this month is even better than the numbers
indicate. February's solid sales growth includes retail growth that far
exceeds the overall Canadian industry performance and an intentional decrease
in daily rental fleet sales," said Dave Buckingham, Vice President of Sales.
"Both of these trends are excellent for our business and are expected to
continue in the months ahead."

    February Highlights

The strong February performance ensures that Chrysler Canada retains its
position as the number two seller of cars and trucks in the country. Mid-sized
cars are among the highlights for the month: Chrysler Sebring was up 10.4 per
cent to 594 units, and Dodge Avenger was up 150 per cent to 603 units.
Chrysler 300 also sold well and was up 81.7 per cent to 443 units.
Jeep brand has been up significantly on the strength of new models. Jeep
set an all-time yearly high in 2007. Jeep brand set a new February record with
sales of 3,807 units, up 27.1 per cent. Also increasing this month were the
Grand Caravan (up 36.5 per cent); Jeep Wrangler (up 10.4 per cent) and Dodge
Ram truck (up 1.9 per cent.)

    March Outlook

"Chrysler Canada will continue aggressive Canadian pricing in March,"
said Buckingham.
'Canada's Choice' launched March 1st, providing consumers up to $2,000 in
discounts on top of already aggressive Canadian Pricing. Consumers can select
from up to $2,000 in Mopar Accessories, up to $1,750 in No-Charge Options or
Extended Service Plan or up to $1,000 in Free Gas Discounts or Bonus Cash
Rebate. This provides consumers the complete flexibility to choose the offer
that best suits their needs.
Across the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge model line up, 11 vehicles are now
available for less than $300 per month with zero down, and 8 vehicles for less
than $20,000, when including the 'Canada's Choice' No-Charge Options or Bonus
Cash Rebate. The broad range of models provides something for just about every
shopper, from compact cars to minivans, trucks, crossovers and SUVs. They
include the all-new Dodge Journey just starting to arrive in showrooms across
