CSI continues its leadership role in exporting Canadian financial
services expertise and standards to developing markets
TORONTO, July 22 /CNW/ - More than 60 financial professionals from China
took part in special ceremonies last week marking the successful completion of
CSI's latest education programs designed specifically for Chinese securities
firms. The graduates are part of an on-going partnership, developed with the
Securities Association of China (SAC), to bring Canadian financial services
best practices to the Chinese securities industry.
"The demand for Canadian financial services expertise especially in the
areas of proficiency and compliance standards is growing," said Dr. Roberta
Wilton, President & CEO of CSI. "This is the fourth year we've had Chinese
financial services professionals graduate in Toronto from our Canada-China
initiatives, which is part of a growing list of training programs CSI is
offering in China and other international markets."
The graduates are from the two largest securities firms in China, Guotai
Junan Securities and Shenyin & Wanguo Securities, both based in Shanghai. The
intense 30 to 41 day programs focused on securities and brokerage firm
management and operations. Subjects ranged from basic financial markets and
investment options to advanced cases in investment banking operations, risk
management and wealth management.
