CALGARY, March 6 /CNW/ - A seventeen year-old boy from Okatoks is marking
a milestone today with The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Trevor,
diagnosed with Immune Dysregulation, Polyendocrinopathy, Enteritis, X-linked
syndrome, is the recipient of the 1000th wish granted by the Alberta and
Northwest Territories chapter.
Trevor's wish, along with those 999 wishes granted before his, is being
celebrated this evening at the Foundation's first annual Celebrating Our
Successes Gala taking place at the Westin Hotel. More than 270 guests will be
in attendance, including Provincial Award winners, wish families, and other

Foundation of Canada has been the leading wish granting organization in the
region for children diagnosed with high-risk, life-threatening illnesses.
While most children want to go a journey to Disney World, the non-profit has
granted special wishes for children and their families like Trevor who
traveled with his family to New Zealand in January to experience and
participate in a wide range of cultural activities.
