NEW YORK, June 2 /CNW/ -- Computer Generated Solutions(R), Inc. (CGS), a
leading provider of software, outsourcing solutions and business & IT services
to organizations worldwide, has been recognized by Everything Channel as one
of North America's top technology integrators. CGS placed number 225 in the
15th annual VAR 500 ranking.
The VAR 500 list details the leading revenue producers among technology
integrators and technology solution provider organizations in North America.
The list's ranking is based on gross worldwide revenue of hardware and
software sales, as well as earnings from professional and managed information
technology (IT) services.
The 2009 VAR 500 list includes 92 new companies with 10 percent of them
in the Top 100 of the list. The starting point of the list is company #500
with revenues of $26.8 million, ending with company #1 with revenues of $57.3
billion. This list reflects the strength of the technology reseller channel.
"We are delighted to be ranked among North America's largest technology
firms for the third year in a row," stated Phil Friedman, president and chief
executive officer of CGS. "Our founding commitment to the long term success of
our clients has fueled our growth for 25 years. Today, we are positioned with
the financial strength and stability required to deliver sustainable value to
our customers. We look forward with confidence to a future of continued
profitable expansion based on deep relationships with our customers and
partners, on the creativity and dedication of our employees, and on the
entrepreneurial spirit that has been our trademark."
The complete listing of the VAR 500 is published in the May 26, 2009
issue and can be found online at www.channelweb.com.
To complete the 2009 ranking of the 500 largest North American solution
providers, system integrators, VARs and IT consultants, companies were asked
to complete an online questionnaire to determine prequalification. In
February 2009, Everything Channel conducted extensive research and analyzed
the data. Independent data sourcing (e.g., SEC filings, annual reports, etc.)
also was conducted. Finalists were ranked according to their fiscal year 2008
revenue, based only on their reseller-related services business.
