TORONTO, Aug. 20 /CNW/ - Building on its long-standing reputation as a
Cisco Academy Training Centre, Centennial College has been selected as
Canada's exclusive English-language CCNA Security Instructor Training Centre
by the Cisco Networking Academy, an initiative of Cisco Systems Inc., a
worldwide leader in computer networking technology.
"With some of the best Cisco-certified instructors in Canada and more
than 10 years of experience teaching Cisco's specialized curriculum,
Centennial College is more than ready to teach the next-generation network
security skills needed to safeguard data and information," says Tracey Dyer,
Chair of Centennial's School of Continuing Education and Corporate Training.
The Cisco CCNA Security curriculum provides an introduction to security
concepts and skills needed for the installation, troubleshooting and
monitoring of network devices to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of
data. CCNA Security helps prepare students for entry-level network security
career opportunities and the globally recognized Cisco CCNA Security
certification. Centennial is responsible for training instructors from across
Canada and the United States.
The course is a hands-on, career-oriented e-learning solution with an
emphasis on practical experience to help students develop specialized security
skills, along with critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills. CCNA
Security provides both online and classroom learning opportunities.
Centennial College will be offering this new course to both instructors
and students beginning this fall. For more details on this and any other Cisco
