Centennial College opens cooling centres to the public



    TORONTO, June 26 /CNW/ - Centennial College has opened its campus
libraries and cafeterias to members of the public, particularly senior
citizens, who are looking for relief from the scorching temperatures this
summer. Each of the college's four air-conditioned campuses will be open from
9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, until the end of August.
    Locations include 951 Carlaw Avenue (near Pape and Mortimer Ave.) in East
York and its three Scarborough campuses: 75 Ashtonbee Rd. (just north of
Eglinton and Warden), 941 Progress Ave. (east of Markham Rd.), and
755 Morningside Ave. (at Ellesmere Rd.). Parking is available in the gated
lots by using the intercom.
