Canada recently launched a new series "Celebrating World Flavours" to rave
reviews at multiple universities around the country.
Celebrating World Flavours is a three part series that entails
international visiting Chefs showcasing their culinary excellence and
partnership with Sodexo at selected universities across the country. The first
event held over a two week period involved Chef Hari Nayak, renowned for his
modern Indian cooking.
Objectives for Celebrating World Flavours include enriching the student
experience with a culinary and cultural event on campus and for Sodexo food
services employees a culinary development opportunity.
Campuses that hosted the first series included St. Francis Xavier
University, Antigonish, NS, Brock University, St. Catharine's, ON, St.
Michael's University College, Toronto, ON and Queen's University, Kingston,
According to clients, students and Sodexo's on-site management at all
four campuses the first event was a resounding success and the stage has been
set for continued Celebrating World Flavours. The next two events which will
be showcased over the coming months will explore Latin American featuring
famed Chef Maricel Presilla, followed by a focus on Singapore cuisine.
