CAW Reaches Tentative Agreement with Toronto School Bus Drivers

TORONTO, April 30 /CNW/ - The CAW has reached a tentative agreement with Stock Transportation, only two days before the strike deadline of Monday, May 2 at 12:01 a.m.

The agreement is subject to ratification, with a membership meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening where drivers will review the contents of the new agreement and cast a vote.

"We're pleased to have reached a tentative agreement after a challenging set of negotiations," said CAW Local 4268 President Debbie Montgomery. "School bus service will continue as usual on Monday."

The 600 CAW Local 4268 members drive school buses for the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Catholic District School Board and the Toronto French School Board.

Contents of the agreement will be released upon ratification.
