MONTREAL, Aug. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - This is the week of the closing
lunchtime show of the "Concert midi du Quartier international de Montréal"
summer concert series, and the Palais des congrès de Montréal is proud to
present it, in association with the Association des riverains du Quartier
international de Montréal. It takes place August 28, 2008, from noon to
1 p.m., in the Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle public square. Downtown office workers
are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy it al fresco along with a free
concert featuring Marijo Bonheur.
"We are pleased to contribute to the atmosphere of the Quartier
international by presenting a free concert showcasing a quality performer and
making it accessible to everyone. Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle is the ideal venue
to experience the energy found in this revitalized part of the city," says
Chrystine Loriaux, the Palais' Marketing and Communications Director.
Singing on a happy note!
Marijo Bonheur literally exudes good humour. With her playful voice and
inventive lyrics, she reminds us that we can be happy even if life isn't
always a barrel of laughs. Her music is a mix of folk and country, and her
singing style is infectiously uplifting. She is what a ray of sunshine would
sound like if it could sing, and she will instantly have you thinking, and
singing, happy thoughts! In case of rain, the concert will be staged indoors,
on the Parquet of Centre CDP Capital.
