Internationally Recognized Operational Safety Audit
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 1 /CNW/ - Cargojet Airways Ltd. has recently
earned the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Operational Safety
certification. The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme is an
internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess
the operational management and control systems of an airline. IOSA uses
internationally recognized quality audit principles and is designed to conduct
audits in a standardized and consistent manner.
IATA's mission is to represent, lead and serve the airline industry. Its
members comprise of 230 of the world's leading passenger and cargo airlines -
representing 93 percent of scheduled international air traffic. Cargojet is

A team of independent IOSA Certified Auditors spent time examining
Cargojet during the past few months. They examined every operational aspect of
the airline including flight operations, maintenance operations and management
practices. They rode along on Cargojet flights, evaluated security, observed
aircraft loading and reviewed Company procedures manuals during their audit.
