MONTREAL, Jan. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) invites
the media to the Gold-Headed Cane ceremony in honour of Captain Volker Hube,
master of the container ship Valentina, the first ocean-going vessel in the
Port of Montreal in 2008. The ceremony brings together the entire shipping
community as well as representatives of the federal government and the
Montreal business community.

Captain Volker Hube and Mr. Patrice M. Pelletier, MPA President and Chief
Executive Officer, will be available for interviews following the 169th
presentation of the Gold-Headed Cane.
Mr. Pelletier will also present a summary of the port's preliminary
year-end results and discuss the outlook for 2008.
