VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, November 28 /CNW/ - CAPELLA RE
(TSX VENTURE:CPS) ("Capella" or the "Company") announces that further to the
Company's news release of November 13, 2007, Capella has completed Phase 1
drilling on its Harvey uranium project located 35 kilometres southwest of
Fredericton, New Brunswick (the "Harvey Project").
The objective of the drill program was to test for uranium mineralization
down dip of surface rock outcrops that measured up to 55,000 counts per second
("cps") on a hand held Super Spec RS 125 Spectrometer by Radiation Solutions
Inc. Capella has received back approximately 7% of the samples from the Harvey
Project that it sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. of Ancaster, Ontario.
Such samples included 10 core drill holes totalling approximately 2,880
meters. Core samples were analyzed for uranium using Fusion / Mass
Spectrometry (reported in parts-per-million, ppm - U elemental). Samples with
uranium values greater than 1,000 ppm U were analyzed using XRF (X-ray
fluorescence) with values reported in percent U3O8.
Partial Drill Results for the Harvey Project
Drill Hole HL004 intersected 1.5 meters of 0.094% U3O8 (1.88 pounds U3O8
per short ton) between 10.1 and 11.6 meters down-the-hole (including 0.8
meters of 0.120% U3O8).
Drill Hole HL008 intersected 1.4 meters of 0.092% U3O8 (1.84 pounds U3O8
per short ton) between 65.6 and 67.0 meters down-the-hole (including 0.3
meters of 0.156% U3O8).
Both of the above-mentioned drill holes were drilled at a -80 degrees dip
angle, normal to the shallow southeast dipping stratigraphy indicating that
mineralized intersections are at true width. The drill holes are spaced 150
meters apart and mineralized zones reported herein correlate
stratigrahpically. Assay results on all other drill holes for the Harvey
Project are pending including further samples within drill holes HL004 and
Uranium mineralization at the Harvey Project is stratabound volcanogenic
and hosted in shallow-dipping, Early Carboniferous subaerial volcanic and
volcaniclastic rocks of the Harvey group. The host rocks represent the
remnants of an epicontinental caldera complex probably similar to Mount
Pleasant Complex that formed during the initial stages of development of the
Maritimes Basin as a consequence of the voluminous late to post orogenic
