    TORONTO and WINNIPEG, Sept. 22 /CNW/ - Cangene Corporation, a company
primarily focused on biodefence and infectious-disease-targeted therapeutics,
today announces that Dr. John Langstaff will be presenting at 11:00 a.m. on
September 24, 2008 at the UBS Global Life Sciences Conference. The UBS
conference runs from September 22-25 at The Grand Hyatt New York. Dr.
Langstaff will be speaking about the Company's primary strengths and overall
strategic focus as well as its achievements through 2008 such as the
significant deliveries on U.S. government contracts that have triggered
substantial revenue flow and regulatory milestones such as the recent European
filing.

Cangene has approximately 700 employees in eight locations across North
