Canon outdoor ads and in-store materials to feature Avril
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 20 /CNW/ - Canon Canada has unveiled its spring
advertising campaign featuring platinum selling, Juno Award winning and Grammy
nominated recording artist Avril Lavigne. The campaign kicks off today with
the debut of a new television commercial, starring Avril and Canon's new line
of PowerShot Digital ELPH cameras.
"I love the new Canon commercial I just shot," says Avril about the ad.
"I'm a huge fan of Canon and their new line of cameras are great!"
In addition to the TV commercial, Avril will also be featured in a series
of outdoor ads launching later this month. The billboards promote Canon's
all-new Rebel T1i Digital SLR camera - the first Rebel camera to feature full
HD video. Avril will also appear on in-store promotional materials and product
packaging for Canon.
To help mark the launch of the spring campaign, Canon Canada has updated
its Avril Lavigne microsite, www.shootlikeastar.ca. Here visitors can view the
commercial, learn about the latest Canon point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras and
customize their own photos using icons and graphics influenced by Avril and
the new commercial.

2008 and has since featured the superstar artist in a number of broadcast ads
