Canadian Helicopters Income Fund announces a 5% increase in monthly distribution

MONTREAL, Nov. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Canadian Helicopters Income Fund
( the "Fund") (TSX: CHL.UN) announced today that it will increase its annual
cash distribution to unitholders by five per cent to $1.1025, effective for
the period from November 1, 2007 to November 30, 2007. The November
distribution will increase to $0.091875 from $0.0875 per unit and will be paid
on December 14, 2007 to unitholders of record at the close of business on
November 30, 2007.
"Our Board has decided to increase our distribution to this level due to
continued strong and what it believes to be sustainable generation of
distributable cash. The Fund's relatively low payout ratio following the
increase will allow room for possible earnings fluctuations, make funds
available to the Fund for potential acquisitions as well as provide the Fund
with some flexibility to address the effect of tax changes for trusts
scheduled to come into effect in 2011. The Board continues to review
distributions on a regular basis, with a view to maximizing sustainable
distributions under these circumstances.
Since the inception of the Fund in September 2005, our cumulative payout
ratio has been 55%. A distribution increase of 5% is viewed to be both
warranted and prudent given our operating results, capital structure and
business model as we look to the future," said Mr. Blais.
