- Media needed to help advise affected residents -
TORONTO, Aug. 11 /CNW/ -
WHAT: On Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12, residents
affected by Sunday's explosion in the Keele St. and Wilson
Ave. areas can go to The Home Depot located at 90 Billy
Bishop Way to pick-up free plywood to help protect their
homes by covering damaged doors, windows and roofs.
Residents who live and local businesses that operate in the
affected area are eligible for the free plywood (while
supplies last). Proof of residence required.
Volunteers from local The Home Depot stores will also be out
in the community later this week offering assistance to
affected residents by distributing plywood to those who can
not get to the store and offering clean-up support.
This community effort is part of Team Depot, The Home
Depot's employee volunteer program. Team Depot helps The
Home Depot employees address the critical needs of their
local community through year round projects and disaster
