Calgarians encouraged to think Regina

Careers, quality of life, and opportunities to invest will be promoted
Wednesday, May 2 in Calgary at a trade show featuring businesses and
    agencies from the Regina region

CALGARY, April 27 /CNW/ - "Regina has the most affordable housing in the
country, with exceptional quality of life, short commute times, a vibrant
recreational, entertainment and cultural scene, which all adds up to
outstanding family living," says Mayor Pat Fiacco.
"In addition, we're seeing growth in our local economy and a more
competitive business environment, which is contributing to increased career
and investment opportunities that we will have on display in Calgary," says
Larry Hiles, President and CEO of Regina Regional Economic Development
Authority (RREDA).
Presented by the Regina Regional Economic Development Authority (RREDA),
the RREDA Future Leaders Group and the City of Regina, more than 40 of
Regina's best and brightest businesses and agencies will be represented at the
Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, Exhibition Hall D, from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm
on Wednesday May 2.
There's no charge to attend - all are welcome. Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco
will highlight opportunities in brief programs at noon and 5:30 pm.
Careers in skilled trades, health care, the film industry, engineering,
telecommunications, the financial services sector and many more will be on
display at the Think Regina event. In addition, experts will be available to
discuss emerging business and investment opportunities.
RREDA's Future Leaders Group, students, young entrepreneurs and
professionals, led the organization of the Think Regina event in Calgary to
promote Regina as a great place to work, live and invest.
"There was a time when many young people were moving from Regina and I
had to defend my choice to stay," says Jeff Boutilier, co-chair of the RREDA
Future Leaders Group. "That perception has changed and Regina truly has
positive momentum, offering opportunities and a quality of life that is hard
to match."
