Caledon Garage Sale Bigger Than Ever

TORONTO, April 13 /CNW/ - As part of its ongoing opposition to the
proposed Rockfort Farm Quarry application, The Coalition of Concerned Citizens
is sponsoring the 12th Annual Great Big Garage Sale on Saturday, April 25,
2009.
The largest annual fundraiser for the Coalition, monies raised from the
event will be used to generate support for high quality and sustainable land
use planning in Caledon, and to ongoing opposition to the negative
environmental and community impacts of the proposed quarry application.
The Sale will take place from 9 am to 4 pm at the Someday Farm, 5192
Winston Churchill Boulevard, north of Olde Base Line Road. Highly anticipated
by the community, and featuring a world of collectibles as well as a silent
auction, the event typically attracts over 1,500 people.
Unsold items will be donated or recycled. Admission is $2 for adults.
Children under 12 are free.
