Building closures at Concordia University



    MONTREAL, July 9 /CNW Telbec/ - A cut power line at the corner of MacKay
St. and De Maisonneuve Blvd.West has caused a power outage in three Concordia
University buildings. Based on information received from Hydro Quebec in
regards to this situation, Concordia has decided to cancel all morning and
afternoon classes taking place in the following buildings:

    Guy Metro Building (1550 De Maisonneuve Blvd. West)
    Hall Building (1455 De Maisonneuve Blvd. West)
    BE Building (1257 Guy St.)

    Staff working in these buildings have also been told to leave for the
    day.

    The university expects to be back in full operation by 4:30 p.m.

    Students with classes in these buildings anytime after 4:30 p.m. today,
as well as faculty and staff who normally work in these buildings after that
hour are expected to check the Concordia website throughout the day at
www.concordia.ca or http://news.concordia.ca/ to confirm if they can enter the
buildings at that time.
