Boxxer Provides Sampling Results from Boss No.9 Zone; Drilling Expected to Commence Shortly

CALGARY, June 2 /CNW/ - Boxxer Gold Corp (TSXV - "BXX") is pleased to
announce additional channel sampling results from its 100% owned Boss
copper-gold project located in the Goodsprings Mining District, Nevada. The
approval from the Bureau of Land Management to commence diamond drilling on
the Boss Extension is expected shortly. The sampling of the Boss copper-gold
deposit and the Boss No.9 zone outlined the following results:

    - 0.49 g/t gold and 4.27g/t PGE over 3.90 metres,
    - 0.10% copper, 0.7g/t silver over 5.20 metres.

Mr. Elmer Stewart, President and CEO of Boxxer stated, "The low
concentrations of copper and high concentrations of gold and PGE at the end of
Boss deposit is consistent with previous analytical results and shows that the
mineralization extends to the northeast and southeast past the workings. The
results from the Boss No.9 zone are encouraging, despite relatively low
concentrations of copper-gold-silver, this zone shows a strong
bismuth-arsenic-cobalt-nickel-lead-zinc geochemical signature indicative of a
copper-gold skarn mineralized system."

Boss Deposit (formerly referred to as the Boss Mine):

These samples were taken to define the limits of the mineralization on
the third level of the former Boss copper mine. Sample BM-56-09 is located at
the end of a cross-cut and the mineralized interval extends beyond the end of
the cross-cut to the southeast. The wall rock contains minor amounts of
hematite and limonite and traces of oxide copper mineralization. The copper
mineralization in this zone has a strong
bismuth-arsenic-cobalt-nickel-lead-zinc geochemical signature. Analytical
results are listed below:

    Boss No.9 Zone:

These samples were taken from an adit and outcrop around the adit. Oxide
copper mineralization and hematite is exposed in outcrop (skarn) over an area
that measures 45 m high by 50 m wide around the adit as disseminations,
veinlets and small replacement pods. The copper mineralization in this zone
has a strong bismuth-arsenic-cobalt-nickel-lead-zinc geochemical signature.
Analytical results are listed below:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Boss No.9 zone is located at significantly higher altitudes
(approximately 200 m) than the other zones of copper-gold mineralization
located to date on the Boss project. The different metal concentrations in the
Boss No.9 zone could be due to either a separate mineralizing event or the
lateral and vertical zonation of the metals that is observed in numerous other
skarn/porphyry mineral districts.

    Future Plans:

Diamond drilling on the Boss Extension, complete sampling of the
Copperside mine, the Boss No.10 Zone and Ironside Northeast zone, and detailed
prospecting and mapping of the large copper-gold bedrock anomalies.

    Sample Preparation and Analysis:

All channel samples were collected with a hammer and chisel and represent
continuous sampling of the material within the sample interval. Sample weights
ranged from 3.7 to 8.7 kilograms and sample intervals ranged from 1.5 to 5.1
metres. All samples were prepared ALS Chemex laboratory in Winnemucca, Nevada,
and were analyzed by ALS Chemex in Vancouver, British Columbia, using PGM-ICP
23 for gold, platinum and palladium and ME-ICP41 for silver and copper and
other metals. ALS Chemex's quality system complies with the requirements for
the International Standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 17025:1999. Analytical
accuracy and precision are monitored by the use of international and in-house
standards.

    Quality Control:

Boxxer follows a rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control program
consisting of inserting blanks and duplicates into the sample stream submitted
to the laboratory for analysis.
