Emerging Artist Showcase Finalists will take the stage at The Royal

TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2016 /CNW/ - The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and Boots and Hearts Music Festival have partnered to bring up-and-coming Canadian country music stars to the Fair this year. The winner, along with two finalists of the 2016 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, will perform live at The Royal on Saturday, November 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

This past August, seven artists from across the country took the stage at the Boots and Hearts Music Festival in Oro-Medonte to compete in the Emerging Artist Showcase. "Country music and The Royal go hand-in-hand and we are incredibly proud to feature these three very talented Canadian artists," said Charlie Johnstone, Chief Executive Officer of The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. "Our partnership with Boots and Hearts Music Festival, will give Fair-goers the opportunity to celebrate the future of Canadian country music."

Space will be limited so, the first 500 people to line up at the Royal Paddock located, in Heritage Court, on the day of the event will receive a special wristband that gets them into the Boots and Hearts Rising Stars show. The performance will be free with the cost of general admission to The Royal.

"The Royal has a long rich history and we are excited to be partnering with them to provide a platform for these artists from our Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase," said Laura Kennedy, Vice President, PR and Marketing, Republic Live. "We're encouraging all country music fans to come down to The Royal to enjoy the event and take in what is sure to be spectacular performances from these talented musicians."
