TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Paul Sparkes, Group Senior Vice President of
Corporate Affairs, CTVglobemedia today appointed Bonnie Brownlee to the
position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, CTVglobemedia.
Reporting to Sparkes and effective immediately, Brownlee is now responsible
for leading the company's corporate communications strategy.
Brownlee's appointment is the latest in a distinguished career that spans
the broadcast, public relations and political sectors throughout North
America. Previously she has been Vice President, Communications for Astral
Television Networks, Director of National Media Relations for Bloomingdale's
New York City and for 10 years with the Government of Canada as Executive
Assistant to former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Mrs. Mulroney. She has
also served as advisor to the Duke & Duchess of York, and John F. Kennedy Jr.
amongst others. Most recently, she has been working with CTV on key strategic
planning and partnership initiatives.
"Bonnie has provided expert strategic direction on a number of files
spanning corporate, political and entertainment spheres both internationally
and domestically. We look forward to her joining the company," said Sparkes.
Brownlee is currently Chair of the Board of Canada's Walk of Fame and
sits on a number of philanthropic committees for organizations in both Canada
and the United States.
