Donates $1,000 to Local Food Bank
CHARLOTTETOWN, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - BMO Bank of Montreal officially celebrates
the 100th anniversary of its Charlottetown Branch on November 14. The branch
employees will be celebrating with a customer appreciation day on Wednesday,
November 28. Customers and members of the community are welcome to come out
and socialize with friends and neighbours while enjoying complimentary coffee

In 1903, The Bank of Montreal expanded its operations in the Maritime
Provinces by acquiring the Exchange Bank of Yarmouth, N.S. Two years later the
bank purchased the People's Bank of Halifax with 26 branches and in 1907 the
People's Bank of New Brunswick was also acquired. With the opening of the main
