TORONTO, March 26 /CNW/ - BMO Investments Inc. today announced a proposed
mutual fund merger of BMO U.S. Equity Class with BMO Global Dividend Class to
be effective on or about May 9, 2008.
As a result of this merger, shareholders of BMO U.S. Equity Class will
have the potential to achieve greater portfolio diversification by investing
in a larger fund with broader investment objectives. The investment objective
of BMO Global Dividend Class is to achieve a high level of total return,
including dividend income and capital gains, by investing primarily in
dividend-yielding common and preferred shares of corporations from around the
The proposed fund merger is subject to shareholder and regulatory
approval. Meetings of shareholders of each of BMO U.S. Equity Class and BMO
Global Dividend Class will be held on or about May 5, 2008.
