BMO Bank of Montreal and The Score bring the popular basketball promotion
back this March
TORONTO, Feb. 17 /CNW/ - BMO Bank of Montreal and The Score are giving
one Toronto Raptors fan the chance to walk away with half a million dollars
The half-court shot promotion is back for its second year and the top
prize has grown from $100,000 to $500,000. The shot will take place during
halftime of the Toronto Raptors-Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday, March 25.
If the contestant makes the shot, they will be awarded with a cheque for
$500,000. The game will be played at the Air Canada Centre and broadcast live
on The Score with the action getting underway at 7:00pm ET.
"As the Official Bank of the Toronto Raptors, we're thrilled to be a part
of the 2nd annual BMO Bankshot contest," said Sandy Bourne, Vice-President,
Corporate Sponsorships, BMO Financial Group. "This is another great way for us
to connect with Raptors fans across Canada. I can't wait to see that one lucky
fan get a shot at the big grand prize."
"The BMO $500,000 BANKSHOT offers the chance for a Raptors fan to cash in
big time and we're very happy to bring this to all the fans across Canada,"
says John Levy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Score Media. "We'll be
featuring a big build-up to the shot on Score programs like Court Surfing and
Score Tonight so we encourage all the fans to enter the contest and tune in to
catch the shot live."
Contestants will have three weeks to enter the contest, starting Tuesday,
February 17 at www.thescore.com/contests. To enter, vistors to the website
must first answer a Raptors trivia question in order to have their name
entered into a draw. One name will then be selected at random at the end of
the three week period to take the half-court shot.
"The Raptors are thrilled to work with our partners at BMO and The Score
to bring back this great contest," said David Hopkinson, vice-president of
corporate and community partnerships at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
"The BMO Bankshot was very successful last season. It complements the high
energy of a Raptors basketball game, adding another level of fan excitement
