Blue Metropolis Montreal International Literary Festival



    MONTREAL, April 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The 9th edition of the Blue Metropolis
Montreal International Literary Festival will take place April 25-29, 2007 at
the Delta Centre-Ville Hotel, Montréal. Once again, more than 290 writers,
literary translators, cartoonists, storytellers, and publishers from around
the world will gather for five days of literary events held in English,
French, Spanish and other languages.

    Free Spirits

    The theme of this year's Festival is Free Spirits. The long list of
international stars featured at this year's Festival will include: Jorge Asis,
John Burnside, John Burningham, Lydia Davis, Barbara Gowdy, Rawi Hage, Elias
Khoury, Dennis Lee, , Zakaria Mohammed, Michael Ondaatje, Noah Richler, Jane
Urquhart.

    Canada's pre-eminent writer, Margaret Atwood, will be awarded the 2007
Blue Metropolis Literary Grand Prix
