Blackpool Drills at Cecil

CALGARY, March 14 /CNW/ - Blackpool Exploration Ltd. participated for its
21.5% working interest in the drilling of a test well at Cecil in northwestern
Alberta. This test well directly offsets and is on trend with a gas producer
yielding 1.6 million cubic feet per day from a dolomitic reservoir in the
Triassic age Charlie Lake Formation. The Blackpool well encountered the same
Charlie Lake reservoir and was flow tested after completion at a stabilized
gas rate of approximately 600 thousand cubic feet per day. The well is
currently awaiting tie-in to a gas gathering and processing facility.
Production commencement is anticipated by April 15, 2007.

BOEs may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A BOE
conversion ratio of 6 mcf: 1bbl is based on an energy equivalency conversion
method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value
equivalency at the wellhead.

    or accuracy of this release.
