Bird Construction Income Fund Announces New Project Awards



    TORONTO, June 18 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Income Fund announces that
operating subsidiaries of the Fund have recently been awarded three new
construction projects with a total value of $65.6 million. The projects
include the US Army Whole Barracks Renewal project in Fort Lewis, Washington,
a new Wal-Mart store in North Cowichan Bay, British Columbia and the
Hypochlorite and Chemical Storage Buildings which are part of the city water
treatment program in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Wal-Mart and Chemical Storage
projects are scheduled to commence construction in the second quarter of 2007.
The Barracks project will commence construction following completion of the
design phase.
