QUEBEC, Sept. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - BioContact Quebec is, thanks to the
participation of partners in the industry, the North American business
rendez-vous "par excellence" for biopharmaceutical companies. This fifteenth
edition will take place from October 1st to 3rd, 2008, at the Château
Frontenac in Quebec City.
"With the primary objective of increasing international representation,
BioContact Quebec hopes to welcome more than 1,200 participants from twenty or
so countries. They will be representatives from all sectors of the industry,
such as biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical corporations, universities,
consulting firms, venture capital companies and government representatives."

infectiology, medical technologies, services and more. The second concept
associated with BioContact Quebec is the "Bio Partnership", a structured
approach of customized meetings between the symposium's participants and the
event's partners.

    Many speakers are expected

For the opening conference, BioContact Quebec 2008 is proud to announce
the participation of Rx&D, a national association representing more than
50 Canadian pharmaceutical research companies. In particular, they will
address the evolution of medication in Canada: From the molecule to the
doctor's office.
Moreover, the symposium will also welcome Mrs. Barbara Yanni,
Vice-president and Chief Licensing Officer at Merck & Co.
Finally, Friday at 1:30 p.m., Mr. Simon Gill, from RBC Capital Markets,
