BetaPro Management's Horizons ETF University a Tremendous Success

TORONTO, June 23 /CNW/ - BetaPro Management Inc. ("BetaPro"), the manager
of the Horizons BetaPro Exchange Traded Funds, is pleased to announce that its
first-ever Horizons ETF University was a tremendous success with nearly 400
investment advisors in attendance. The Horizons ETF University, which offered
full-day sessions across the country in May and June, provided in-depth
education on the rapidly growing world of exchange traded funds ("ETFs"), how
they work and the various investment strategies that can benefit investors. In
addition, the course provided 4.5 Continuing Education credits for advisors,
the most CE credits available from an ETF provider in Canada.
The Horizons ETF University was led by Howard Atkinson, President of
BetaPro and author of The New Investment Frontier: A Guide to Exchange Traded
Funds for Canadians, one of the first-ever ETF guides in the world, originally
published in 2001. Special instructors also included Greg Jones, Managing
Director of Global Equity Derivatives at National Bank of Canada, who gave an
enlightening discussion on the role of the designated broker, and six
university professors with expertise in finance, economics and capital
markets.
"Advisors need to have an expansive toolkit at their disposal to help
clients navigate through this current environment. Our Horizons ETF University
and other educational initiatives bring new ideas and strategies to advisors
and their clientele," said Mr. Atkinson. "Due to overwhelming interest, we
expect to expand the road show within the next year to include other major
Canadian cities. As well, given the growing importance of the discount
brokerage community and retail investors, we will fine-tune the course and
make it available in time for 'back-to-school' in September."

The dates and locations for the road show were:

    May 20, 2009 - Hamilton, McMaster University
    May 21, 2009 - Toronto, Ryerson University
June 2, 2009 - Ottawa, University of Ottawa
    June 3, 2009 - Montreal, McGill University
June 9, 2009 - Vancouver, University of British Columbia
June 10, 2009 - Calgary, University of Calgary
    June 18, 2009 - Halifax, Saint Mary's University

For those who missed the sessions, it will be available online in the
coming months.
