Best Western International's Winter Windfall Gives Consumers a Chance to Win Big Online



    PHOENIX, Dec. 10 /CNW/ -- Best Western International is giving consumers
across North America the chance to add to their holiday cheer with the launch
of its new online game, Winter Windfall.

    Now through January 4, 2008, individuals are encouraged play the game at
http://www.bestwestern.com for a chance to win one of four prize packages,
including Best Western Travel Cards, spa packages, electronics, gas cards and
more. The grand prize winner will receive one million Gold Crown Club
International (GCCI) points that can be used toward free stays at Best Western
hotels worldwide, as well as a variety of other awards, including retail,
dining and entertainment gift cards.
    To win, players watch a fast-moving box scan over holiday images like
candy canes and snowmen.  As images are lighted up, players freeze the box
with the click of a mouse, and will win the prize indicated on the image on
which the box has stopped.
    Players who win a prize package receive a bonus: a duplicate prize
package to give to a friend.
    "Consumers are already shopping online for the holiday season," said
Dorothy Dowling, Best Western's senior vice president of marketing and sales.
"The Winter Windfall game is a fun online stop where players can win an
exciting holiday gift for themselves and a friend."
    In addition to the prize packages, each day, one lucky player will win a
$100 Best Western Travel Card, which can be used at approximately 4,200 Best
Western hotels worldwide.
