(BDC) announced today that the 29th edition of Small Business Week(R) will
take place from October 19 to 25 under the theme "A world without boundaries,
open to new markets". A highlight of Small Business Week(R) will be the Young
Entrepreneur Awards Ceremony, which will take place in Vancouver, British
Columbia, on October 21st.
BDC Young Entrepreneur Awards
BDC's Young Entrepreneur Awards recognize the achievements of Canadian
business owners between the ages of 19 and 35. The winning companies are
selected by a committee, based on a number of criteria that range from
operating success and innovation to involvement in the new economy, community
work and export performance. Two special awards will also be presented during
Small Business Week this year: the Export Development Canada Export
Achievement Award, and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
Winners will be announced on October 21st. All award winners will be
available for media interviews directly from Vancouver, British Columbia, on
