                               BAND OF SKULLS
ANNOUNCE CANADIAN SHOWS FOR JUNE 2009 - INCLUDING 'NXNE'
                                      &
DEBUT ALBUM 'BABY DARLING DOLL FACE HONEY' TO BE RELEASED IN
                          CANADA, SEPTEMBER 1, 2009

MONTREAL, June 2 /CNW Telbec/ - Band Of Skulls - Russell Marsden (guitar
and vocals), Emma Richardson (bass and vocals) and Matt Hayward (drums) first
met at college and discovered that having two lead singers and three
songwriters in a band was going to present unlimited possibilities. And that
was just the start.
In a few short months, the Southampton UK trio recorded, mixed and
mastered their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey - due out in Canada
this September. They built a triumvirate international management/label team
spanning Canada (PHI Group), the UK (You Are Here) and USA (Shangri-La Music).
And, Band Of Skulls were selected Single of the Week with iTunes in April
2009, for their debut single 'I Know What I Am.'

"This crunchy nugget of off-White Stripes stomp'n'yell garage blues
is the single (I Know What I Am)" - Darryl Sterdan, Single Review -
        The Sun, April 2009.

MySpace Canada featured the video for 'I Know What I Am' exclusively over
the week of May 19.

Feature radio spins on The Edge (on Bookie's The Indie Hour) and across
Canada on Corus radio via The Strombo Show and Explore Music. 'I Know What I
Am' was added at Live 88.5, Sirius ALT Nation, Galaxie Rock Alt Channel, KTNI-
Denver, WEQX- Albany, Sirius XMU, WROX-NORFOLK .
'I Know What I Am' has also been added at KCRW, where the band will
perform on the groundbreaking show Morning Becomes Eclectic on June 5, 2009.

"Band Of Skulls debut Baby Darling Doll Face Honey (Phi/Fontana)
plays like a well curated festival with a mix of lush pop, street
smart dance rock and slow burning dirges that would feel right at
home in the house that Jack White built."...Bookie (Dave Bookman),
        102.1 The Edge / Eye Weekly - April 2009

Baby Darling Doll Face Honey was recorded at Courtyard studios in
Oxforshire, England by Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy). It veers
from massive crunching guitar and huge drum swells, to flush 'wall of sound'
harmonies, and pin-drop perfect acoustic tracks. All of the incredible album
artwork was completed by bassist/singer, Emma.
Early April 2009 showcases for Band Of Skulls in Canada (Montreal
/Toronto, and in NYC) filled rooms with eager industry insiders and curious
music lovers in-the-know. Now, just confirmed dates for June see the band
cross the country and embark on their summertime commitment to introduce Baby
Darling Doll Face Honey to Canada.

Further dates and more Band Of Skulls information will be announced
shortly.
