Avoiding ''Blind Spots'' in Health Technology Changes

PITTSBURGH, October 15 /CNW/ - Lisa Romano, director of TeleTracking
Technologies' Avanti Patient Flow Services, will discuss the importance of
integrating "human factors" into technology decisions during The Fall
Collaborative Communications Summit, taking place Nov. 5-6, 2007 at The
Peninsula Beverly Hills in California.

The summit, titled "Transforming Healthcare through Health Information
Technology," will examine the swirling forces of technology change, policy
development and changing business models pertaining to universal Electronic
Health Records.

Ms. Romano, former administrator of patient logistics at Lehigh Valley
Hospital and Health Network, will demonstrate how employee involvement in
technology change can avoid massive "blind spots" in process redesign, since
employees generally know the existing processes better than supervisors.

Avanti is a division of TeleTracking Technologies, world leader in
patient flow automation. Avanti specializes in all hospital process redesign
related to relieving overcrowding.
