Asia Now confirms gold-silver zones at Beiya

    TSX-V: NOW

TORONTO, Feb. 24 /CNW/ - Asia Now Resources Corp. (TSXV: NOW) is pleased
to release the assay results of 16 drillholes at its Beiya North project in
southwestern China. The drill holes were planned at 160 - 800 meter spacing to
test the potential of the middle section of the 13km-long by 2km-wide gold
mineralization zone that hosts the adjacent Beiya Gold Mine with production
capacity of up to 100,000 ounces of gold annually, the largest open-pit gold
mine in Yunnan.
The results have confirmed that the gold-silver zones up to 130 meters
thick intersected in the vertical holes are shallow, from subsurface to mostly
250 meters deep, and extend at least 500 meters from the mining lease of the
open-pit Beiya Gold Mine and are open to the north and west on Asia Now's
property. To the east, the mineralized zones appear to be cut by several
faults. To date, the spacing of the completed drillholes is too wide for
resources estimation, and the Company will focus on the high-grade zones and
continue to drill and define the extent of the resource in the main gold zones
in 2009.
Asia Now's President, Dr. Kaihui Yang, commented: "From our exploration
results to date, we strongly believe the significant potential for the large
mineralization belt that includes the greater than 2 million ounce (Chinese
reserves) Beiya Gold Mine. Our continued drilling programs will define the
gold resource next to the producing Beiya mine that is expanding its existing
open pit."
Dr. Yang also states "As gold hovers around $1,000 per ounce, the Company
is clearly undervalued. We are diligently working to implement our defined
strategy which we outlined one year ago. Our goal is to move into cash flow
sooner than later, and we have strong industry relationships which will help
us achieve this".

The Beiya property covers an area of 586 sq.km in Yunnan Province and
involves two joint venture companies. Asia Now is earning a 70-88% interest in
a joint venture with Yunnan Geology and Mineral Resources Company Limited and
a 72-90% interest in a joint venture with Yunnan Non-Ferrous Geology and
Mineral Resources Company Limited. The property is 60 km by highway north of
the city of Dali, which is a 35 minute flight from Kunming, the capital city
of Yunnan. There are several daily flights, a railway and a paved highway
between the two cities. The Beiya property is one of two key projects the
Company is exploring in China.

SAMPLING, ASSAYING, QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALIFIED PERSON
    --------------------------------------------------------

Drill core samples were cut in halves using a diamond saw. One half of
the core was sampled and assayed using aqua regia digestion with AAS
determination for gold, and hydrochloric/perchloric (HCl/HClO4) digestion with
ICP-MS determination for copper, molybdenum, silver, zinc, lead and others (a
total of 35 elements). For samples with Cu grade higher than 1%, a four acid
(HCl/HNO3/HClO4/HF) digestion method and AAS determination were applied. All
the assays were completed at Intertek Laboratory in Beijing in accordance with
international standard ISO17025. To maintain independent quality control on
the laboratory, duplicate samples are submitted from 5% of sample sites, and
replicate samples are submitted for 3% of samples. In addition the
laboratories use an extensive range of internal standards. External check
assays are routinely performed on check samples submitted independently by the
Company to other international laboratories.

Quality control and assurance programs are implemented in line with the
standards of National Instrument 43-101, as described the independent 43-101
report filed on www.sedar.ca. Exploration and financial controls are
implemented in each of the company's exploration projects in China,as
published on the website of the Company, www.asianow.ca. Exploration on all of
the Company's projects is conducted under the supervision of Dr. Noel C.
White, a consultant to the Company and a Qualified Person as defined under
National Instrument 43-101. Dr. White has read and approved this news release.
Disclosure on mineralization on adjacent properties has not been verified by
Dr. White and is not necessarily indicative of the Company's anticipated
results. Where provided, potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature
as the Company has not conducted sufficient exploration to define a mineral
resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target
being delineated as a mineral resource.
