Ascalade's 2007 DECT phone designs selected by new Belgium customer



    RICHMOND, BC, March 21 /CNW/ - Ascalade Communications Inc. ("Ascalade"
or "the Company") (TSX: ACG) today announced select models from Ascalade's
2007 DECT cordless phone product line will be branded and distributed by one
of Belgium's top consumer products distributors. Through this partnership,
Ascalade will expand its DECT product reach into new Pan European markets.
    Ascalade's new Belgium customer is a well-known leading European
distributor for voice, Voice over Internet Protocol ("VoIP"), data and
lifecare products for the residential, small business and home office markets.
Its branded products are sold in some of the most well-known electronics
chains, computer shops, department stores, telecom specialist shops, as well
as from electricians and operators all over Europe. Along with its own
European sales team, Ascalade's new customer also has sales offices in Asia.
    Ascalade's 2007 DECT cordless phone models were selected based on new
features and industrial design enhancements. One of Ascalade's latest
value-added features include Low Radiation DECT technology for reducing the
amount of standby and active radiation emitted from both the handset and
telephone base. This new feature allows end users concerned with radiation to
automatically or manually adjust emitted radiation on their DECT cordless
handsets while enjoying proven sound quality and low interference. The 2007
DECT product line also features Ascalade's new industrial designs which
capture and meet the latest consumer demands for functionality and style. New
designs include a slimmer handset and base as well as colorful LCD screens.
