ASC Renews Proceedings Against Lavallee for Genoray Trading

CALGARY, Oct. 16 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has
issued a Notice of Hearing regarding allegations that Lambert Joseph Lavallee
made misrepresentations and prohibited representations to investors, failed to
file insider reports when due, and engaged in an illegal distribution of
securities of Genoray Advanced Technologies Ltd.
ASC staff made similar allegations against Lavallee in 2005, resulting in
a hearing and an earlier decision by an ASC panel on July 30, 2007. The
Alberta Court of Queen's Bench later quashed that ASC panel's decision.
A copy of the Notice of Hearing has been posted on the ASC website at
www.albertasecurities.com.

The ASC is the regulatory agency responsible for administering the
province's securities laws. It is entrusted to foster a fair and efficient
capital market in Alberta and to protect investors. As a member of the
Canadian Securities Administrators, the ASC works to improve, coordinate and
harmonize the regulation of Canada's capital markets.
