Artis Real Estate Investment Trust announces timing of release of financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008



    WINNIPEG, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Artis Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: AX.UN)
("Artis" or the "REIT") announced today that at approximately 5:00 p.m. EST on
Thursday, November 13, 2008, it will release its financial results for the
three and nine month periods ended September 30, 2008.
    Interested parties are invited to participate in a conference call with
management the following day: Friday, November 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. EST. In

41.2% office and 26.9% industrial.
    The REIT's Distribution Reinvestment Plan ("DRIP") allows Unitholders to
have their monthly cash distributions used to purchase trust units without
incurring commission or brokerage fees, and receive bonus units equal to 4% of
