-- Maverick Quebec Comedian invites motor mouths to describe their
ultimate Las Vegas vacation as quickly as possible in 15 seconds -
and win an ultimate Expedia.ca trip --
MONTREAL, Oct. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Think Quebec's politicans, lawyers and
used car salesmen are energy-filled fast talkers? They've got nothing on the
ever-so-animated Christopher Williams, Quebec's up-and-coming comedian known
for his avant-guardiste style used to electrify his audience! Starting
October 22, Christopher is heading up Expedia.ca(TM)'s search for Quebec's
fastest talker. Swift speakers from across the province can visit
www.FastTalkToVegas.ca to describe their ultimate, fast-paced Vegas vacation.
Visitors to the site will choose the top ten fast-talking finalists to go to
Montreal on November 21 to strut their stuff in front of judges and
Christopher himself! The Quebecer dubbed Quebec's fastest talker will win a
three-night trip to Las Vegas with five friends, courtesy of Expedia.ca.
"My shows are fueled through fast-paced interaction with my audience and,
from experience, Quebecers have been extremely energetic, so I very much look
forward to experiencing how quick, lively, and inventive the submissions will
be.", said Christopher Williams, Quebec comedian and entertainer. "I travel
like I speak - packing in lots of exciting activities, while completely
immersing myself in each and every culture I come across - and cities don't
get much more fast-paced than Las Vegas."
The www.FastTalkToVegas.ca site offers speedy speaker hopefuls the chance
to brush up on their skills and directly submit an ultimate Vegas vacation
within 15 seconds. Entrants with webcams can easily video themselves
describing their submission or can call toll free to record their message
online. Once the sumbission is on the site, entrants can improve their chances
of winning by sending a link to friends and family to solicit their votes. The
site also offers tips, speed exercises (tongue curls or palatte dipthongs
anyone?) and visual Vegas cues like the Blue Man group and Liberace museum to
help fast talkers develop their expedient entries.
Once the top 10 submissions are selected by visitors to the site,
Expedia.ca will bring them to Montreal to participate in the Fast Talker
Showdown on November 21 at Lion D'Or. At the event, finalists will race
through a specific Vegas vacation in front of Christopher and two other
judges. After reviewing a total of two and a half minutes of blistering Vegas
vacations, the judges will name the winner, who gets to fly to Las Vegas and
stay for three nights at a top hotel with five friends - who may or may not be
